Good afternoon Colleen!
Will my son who is now 16 be able to complete the last two years of study in Ireland and how much does one year of study in Ireland cost as cheaply as possible? We are from Russia, he studies for one five, is engaged in programming (3rd place in Moscow – development of computer games, creates mobile applications)
Best regards, Sergey.
Colleen
Hi Sergey,
I don’t work for any schools so am not able to advise. You are best contacting the schools directly and asking them for quotes.
Kind regards,

Hi! Colleen. My name is Lorena. My family and I are moving to Ireland on February 8th 2022. I browsed your marvellous page! Thank you for all the information you share to your readers. I have 2 questions for you that are puzzling my mind at the moment; one is about obtaining my EU residency. I am married to an Italian resident. I would like to know the steps that I should do in order to apply for a spouse residence. I am wondering the time that would take for me to obtain a PPS number. Is there anything I can do online prior to moving? Another question is that we have 3 kids, two of them in high school years. I would like to know If there is a chance that schools might let my children enroll in 2022 even though the year is halfway through. Thank you
Colleen
Hi Lorena,
Happy to hear that my website is helpful to you. Here is the guidance for family reunification for family members of EU citizens. In order to apply for the PPSN, please refer to my guidance for getting the PPSN and see the section on how to apply for a PPSN – from the comments of other visitors, it appears that processing is taking some time.
I am not able to answer any enrolment questions on behalf of schools, for that you will need to contact the school directly to discuss your particular circumstances.

Good day
Can you recommend any service providers who can assist someone immigrating to Ireland from South Africa – with the process of registering / inspections etc of their private motor vehicle once arrived and customs cleared?
The client feels daunted by the process as they will be new to the country.
Please let me know if you know of anyone who could for a fee walk the client through and assist with the process.
Thank you.
Colleen
Hi Adrian,
Sorry I don’t know anyone providing that particular kind of service, although that doesn’t mean it does not exist. However, I am aware that there are Irish based relocation services that may be able to assist. I have not worked with any of them, so can’t recommend any particular one, but if you Google Irish relocation services they will come up.

Thanks Colleen – will do.

Colleen
Hi Maureen, as an Irish citizen then there are plenty of resources supporting your return to Ireland. I suggest you start here at the section of the Citizens Information website dedicated to the process of returning to Ireland.

My twelve year old daughter has dual citizenship with Ireland and the US. We currently live in the US and I have only US citizenship. I would love to live in Ireland with her so that she could do her schooling there and be immersed in that part of her cultural identity. Is it possible for me to live and work in Ireland while she goes to school?
